What we do not collect

There are no user accounts, so we never ask for a name, an email address or a password to use the downloader. We never ask for your Facebook login either — the site works only with content that is public.

We do not build advertising profiles, we do not sell data, and we do not share anything with data brokers.

We do not keep a record of which Reels, photos or albums you have downloaded that is tied to you.

What we process while you use the site

The Facebook link you paste is sent to our server so the Reel, photo or album can be looked up. It is used for that request and is not stored against your identity.

Your IP address is processed to apply rate limits and to count requests towards the periodic verification check. It is held only for as long as those counters live, at most 24 hours.

A session cookie is used to protect the request that fetches your download, and a language cookie stores the language you picked in the switcher so we can open the right version next time.

Standard web server logs may briefly record the IP address, timestamp and requested path. They are used for diagnosing faults and abuse, and are rotated regularly.

Files

Every file you download is assembled on our media server: a Reel’s video and audio streams are fetched and joined into an MP4, or the sound is converted to MP3; photos are fetched at full size and, for an album, packed into a ZIP. The result is cached for a few hours so a repeat download is instant, then deleted automatically.

Download links are signed and expire after an hour. They are not listed anywhere and cannot be guessed.

Third parties

The preview on a result card — the Reel that plays, the photo that is shown — comes from our own media server, not from Facebook, so pressing play sends nothing to Facebook.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used for the occasional "are you a robot" check. It runs only when a check is actually required, and Cloudflare processes the data needed to make that decision under its own privacy policy.

Requests to Facebook for information about a post are made from our servers, through third-party proxy providers, on our behalf. Only the link being looked up is passed on — never your IP address.

Because we hold no account data, there is usually nothing to export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have any question about this policy, write to us at the address on the contact page.
